My love for the arts started at the young age of four. The creative work of my grandfather, a gifted painter and professional photographer, ignited my passion for art. At the age of seven my mother bought me my first Polaroid camera. Overwhelmed with excitement, I started taking pictures of everything. Images like piles of leaves, flowers, bees, snowmen, icicles on the windows, the clouds, peoples feet, shoes, my first bike, not to mention everything else that surrounded my life growing up in Ohio! In junior high and high school I was involved in sports and other art disciplines, which helped me to develop my perspective and composition. Using my mother’s old Minolta 35mm opened up the world of lighting, lenses and film speeds. In high school I wanted to know how a negative turned into a real picture so I enrolled in photography classes where I learned how to develop and process my own works of art. Capturing special moments in peoples lives and seeing the happiness and smiles that the images brought to them made me realize that this was what I wanted to do for a living. After graduating High School I enrolled at the University of Akron in Ohio, majoring in the arts, focusing on photography and interior design. While attending college I worked at New Image Photography in Cleveland improving my skills doing weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and portraits. I transferred to the University of Tampa my junior year. Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, I pursued and expanded my interest in photography working on various projects with the University and at Rob/Harris Productions, a professional photography company, for two years.
My passion and drive in this field led me to start High Level Image Photography in June of 2008. Principally, the people I meet and the world around me inspire my photographs. I specialize in the ability to connect with my clients on a personal level, resulting in a more distinct and individual experience. The end result is to capture unique moments in time that evoke a flood of memories to be cherished forever. Heather Lindgren
